Very often we tend to think of figs as a fruit, but they’re actually a flower. Extremely versatile, they’re ideal for sweet and savory recipes, and in this case on our Pinsa turns out to be the perfect match!
Check out our Summer Pinsa recipe: a pinsa with cured ham, ricotta, figs and walnuts.
You will see that you can enjoy a super light and delicious dish!
- Add the mozzarella to the Pinsa base and bake on the rack for 5 minutes at 250°C (480°F). If using a conventional oven, we recommend adding 1 or 2 extra minutes of cooking time.
- Once out of the oven, add the cured ham, ricotta, figs, walnuts, a drizzle of honey, basil leaves, and to finish, a drizzle of olive oil.
If you don’t want to turn on the oven, you can try:
- Air fryer: season the base with mozzarella and a drizzle of oil and bake for 3 minutes at 200°C (390°F). Once out of the oven, add the cured ham, ricotta, figs, walnuts, a drizzle of honey, basil leaves, and to finish, a drizzle of olive oil.
- Frying pan: place the Pinsami pinsa on a preheated non-stick pan or griddle. If necessary, you can cut it in half or use the Mini Pinsa. Cook for about 4 minutes on each side. Once ready add all the ingredients.
- Toaster: cut the Pinsami into slices and place them in the preheated toaster for about 4 minutes, or according to your chosen level of toasting. Once ready add all the ingredients.
Et voila, your Summer Pinsa with cured ham and figs is ready to be enjoyed!
